בחיפוש שהוא מודע לו או לא מודע לו.

כאשר מצא את מורו, מתייצב מולו התלמיד

בידיעה קמאית שהוא סגור

והוא רוצה להיפתח.

התלמיד מתייצב מול מורו

מתוך בחירה באפשרות להיפתח.

התלמיד מתייצב מול מורו

על מנת שהמורה יבקיע

את קליפתו ויפער בו

פתח ודלת.

זהו תהליך מפחיד,

מרגיז ולפעמים מבעית.

ההתנגחות יכולה להיות ארוכה.

קליפת הפחד ניזונה

ממרכזו של התלמיד.

זהו אותו מרכז אשר

המורה רוצה להגיע אליו.

המורה פועל לפי אופיו

הוא יכול להתקיף בכוח

הוא יכול להזניח על מנת

לחזור בפתאומיות

הוא יכול לפתות ולרכך.

המורה הנכון הוא

מישהו אשר שערו פתוח

והעולם עובר דרכו.

המרכז שהזין את קליפת הפחד

מת.

התלמיד אינו יכול לתקשר עם מורו.

הוא עומד מולו על מנת שזה יפער בו פתח.

כאשר נפתחת הדלת

יש להם הבנה של ניסיון משותף

ובדידות.

והמאמץ האדיר שהוא

משקיע בהבקעת תלמידו

הוא על מנת לקבל את

האנרגיה הדרושה לפתיחה שלו עצמו.

המפגש הוא פשוט וסיכומו הוא

אני רוצה את הדבר

שנראה לך מרכז חייך.

 

המורה הנכון משיל קליפות מעצמו.

אחת לפרקי זמן הוא

עוזב את תלמידו למפגש

מסוג אחר.

הוא תמיד חוזר אחר

בעור חדש ועם אותה מטרה.

זהו סחר חליפין

שבו משלם התלמיד בחתיכות

מעצמו תמורת ההבנות

והיכולת להיות שער.

זהו סחר חליפין שבו חייב התלמיד

לעשות את חשבון זמנו

כדי שייבנה בו מספיק

לקיום עצמאי ויוצר

כדי שייבנה בו מספיק

לצורך סיום הקשר.

A student chooses a teacher

Through a conscious or unconscious search.

Once found, the student faces the teacher

In the primeval knowledge of one who is closed

And wishes to be open.

Student faces teacher

By choosing the possibility to be open.

Student faces teacher

So that the teacher may crack open the shell 

And create an opening and a doorway. 

This is a frightening process, 

Annoying and sometimes horrifying.

The collision may be prolonged.

The shell of fear is fueled

From the student very core.

And it is this core

That the teacher wishes to reach.

The teacher acts according to his nature:

Some attack with full force,

Some can abandon you, 

Only to come back suddenly, 

Some are softly seductive. 

The right teacher is one with an open gate

Through which the universe may pass

The center that fueled the shell of fear

Is dead.

The student may not communicate with the teacher.

But must face him in order for the teacher 

To forge an opening.

Once the door is opened,

Both have the understanding of shared experience

And loneliness.

Often, the guide’s gateway 

Is not yet open

And the enormous effort 

Invested in opening the student

Actually serves to provide the energy 

Needed to open the guide himself. 

The teacher feeds on his student.

The encounter is simple, and essentially means: 

I want that which seems to you 

To be the core of your life.

The right teacher sheds his own shells.

Every so often he leaves his student 

For a different kind of encounter

And always he returns a different person,

In a new skin yet ever with the same goal.

This is a form of barter, 

The student paying with pieces of himself 

For the understandings

And the ability to be a gate.

This is a form of barter wherein the student 

Must calculate his time carefully 

In order to build enough of himself 

To permit an independent and creative existence,

To build enough of himself 

To be capable of severing the connection.
